A gross deriliction of duty…

President Obama’s speech to the Eurosocialists in Strasbourg, France did more to undermine America’s reputation than any US President since Jimmy Carter. The fact that he pandered to our so called allies is actually to be expected, remember he is the product of Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s radical church, but the truly odious act was to delegitimize the Iraq war front. He did this while lending support for (contextually dishonest) charges of torture by anti-American extremists. The blood and toil of the heroic soldiers who have, and continue to serve mission Iraqi Freedom were figuratively spat by their own commander in chief.  Nothing But Truth can (and will) have our policy disagreements with the administration; we cannot abide, through silence, the politically opportunistic smearing of the US Military especially when the charges are without contextual merit .

I only hope that we come out of “the Obama years” no worse off than we did “the Carter years,” but I fear that we have so much more on the line now, so much more to lose, that it will be much longer before we have recovery. In addition, I don’t see a Ronald Reagan on the horizon to lead us back to where this country should be, in an undisputed position of world LEADERSHIP.
