It’s not about the law…

It is not about your character; it’s about your color and gender.  Judge Sotomayor does not believe we should be all equal under the law. Of course, being a Hispanic woman, this point will be drowned out by political sophists with charges of racism directed at her critics.  Ironic, isn’t it; she is the bigot, yet the people who point that out will be charged with prejudice. I wonder what Dr. Martin Luther King would make of this quote: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” not exactly “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”  We know President Obama values feelings over the strict constructionist view of the Constitution (actually what it says).  Now, we are going to place a judge who believes in legislating from the bench (see video clip) and has based decisions on race as well…This is not hope; it is recipe for tyranny.
