President’s Press conference…Fawning Press, Disturbing Statements and His Best Performance To Date!

He is good, gosh darn, he is really good. As one of the few critics of the President’s oratory skills, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge that his performance last night in the 100 days press conference was no less than spectacular. His cadence, delivery and style could not have been better. Whether you heard this conference on the radio or watched it on TV, it was clear that what the media had been saying finally met reality; Barack Obama may be one the best political performers in history. How could I reach this conclusion after one press conference, especially when I have been so critical of the man’s past communication? Simply, it is the truth. In this press conference, he proved what most critics have ascribed (falsely) that he could deliver a message with passion of Kennedy, humor of Reagan and the emotional connectivity of Clinton (feel your pain). Let me be clear, the substance of President’s Obama words runs contrary to his actions and truth, but that is not germane to the issue of communicative skill. As history has now clearly evidenced, President Reagan in substance far surpassed both Kennedy and Clinton yet all are in the pantheon of great communicators. President Obama has proven to be the leftist radical many of us suspected he was but that does not diminish his obvious ability to grow into the communicator the press has claimed him to be. This will make the challenge of conservatives much greater in the war for truth.

I never doubted that Obama would be effective at delivering his message; I only wish people would wake up and realize that that message is one that leads us closer and closer to one world currency and one world government. The only sadder thing is that most are completely oblivious to the dangers.

The best of the best without argument was President Ronald Reagan. When he stepped to the podium, squared himself off with camera and began to speak, America, looking into his eyes saw his soul, and in their “heart of hearts” they knew he was President. And when America was asleep at night, they knew he was at the helm.

The Obama experience of the last 100 days — only God knows what we are in for, bless His name — we may be just before getting what we’ve been asking for all these years since we told God to take a leap or a hike.

Personally, for me, Obama is the least prepared in modern history for the office and the times ahead of us. To him there is no center. There is either left or right, and he takes a left turn every turn of the wheel. Again, God help us. c.

ps Oh God, where is Uncle Harry? HST of ‘48-’52!
