Racial Hucksters win the battle; Limbaugh has, and continues to, win the war.
Whether you agree or disagree with Rush, you must acknowledge this man is an American success story that should be welcomed into the National Football League. The distortion, and outright lies perpetrated by his critics have been shameful. While these pathetic, jackpot artists have attempted to destroy the man who single-handedly saved radio, they have exposed the weakness of their liberal ideology. When you have malicious clowns like Al Sharpton and…

Al and Jesse are out of the Obama camp and need to get some face time. So they jump on the Limbaugh Wagon. There’s no money in DC for these guys, but Rush has plenty. He’s popular and that draws these guys with no prospects out.Sycophant Syndrome in reverse.
No one single-handedly does anything, and if they think that they do, or others think that someone single-handedly does something, we are making that person bigger than they really are. So to say that Rush Limbaugh single-handedly saved radio is a bit of a stretch…
As for the whole NFL situation, I think WE give people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton too much power when we let them get away with the whole racism thing. I’m not a fan of Rush Limbaugh, and I wouldn’t listen to him anymore than I would listen to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton; but I don’t think he should be denied the opportunity to own/manage a football team if he meets the requirements to do so. The one thing that I DO like about Rush Limbaugh is that he doesn’t back down from a fight or whine that he is being labeled a racist. There’s too much whining from both black and white people, and it gets kinda old after a while.
And this is just a friendly suggestion for you: you have mentioned several times that if we are going to have a discussion about race that we should discuss the out-of-wedlock pregnancy issue. The only thing with that is you would actually need to have invested yourself in some aspect of the black community to do so. That is a very personal, intimate subject; I would be willing to have that discussion with someone that I knew and trusted, not some guy on the radio. My friend, Shelia, has invested years and years and years at an inner city church tutoring minority kids. They love her so much that they now call her “mama Shelia.” She could have that kind of discussion with the black community because they know that she loves them; just having statistics and facts is not enough. It takes having a relationship with people in the black community (or any community, I would imagine)to make something like that work. Just something to keep in mind when you start talking about stuff like that again. You’re big on facts and that’s good… now it’s time to reach a little bit deeper (if you’re really serious about the race discussion, that is).
